The auspicious lunar month of Kartika starts on Fri Nov 5th. The observation of all rituals, vrats, poojas in this month are considered of same significance as done during the days of Shivarathri and other holy days. Kartika Deepam is traditionally offered on Pournima day of Kartika month. In India, it is observed on Friday. According to the panchangam, Pournima tithi in U.S. falls on Thursday for all ritual observations. Karitka deepam will be offered on Thursday at the temple.
